WAY TO GO, BLUE!!!!

I'm soooooo glad I didn't screw up the week for the team!!  Whew!  I'm still on track and haven't lost any points.  I'm supposed to run a 10K Feed the Hungry race tomorrow morning, but it looks like we'll have temps of -5 to 5F (before windchill) and I don't think I'm brave enough to freeze these turkey thighs.  A friend suggested running the distance on the treadmill and being there in spirit.  I'm starting to think that's a pretty smart girl. :D  It's not quite the same (or at all), but at least my registration money is going to a good cause, right?

  1. Treadmill - good. Freezing outside - bad. Today I was feeling a little stir crazy and wanted to get out but I didn't have a car. So, smart me thought "Why not a walk?" I was sure if I bundled up enough it should be fine. Crazy!
I was looking for an 8th grade English text book for an assignment at school so Emily (my 6 year-old) and I bundled up and headed out.
Holy Cow was it cold! I didn't find the text book at the DI but I didn't leave empty handed either. We bought 2 scarves, a sweater, a jacket, 2 sets of wool socks, and a partridge in a pear tree. Ho Ho Ho.

  2. Wow. You're brave...or nuts. lol! Sounds like you needed those items you picked up at DI today. :D I could hardly stand to walk from the car into the store. I'm pretty certain I won't be running outside tomorrow. There are better things I'd like for a holiday than frostbite.

  3. I'm so excited to be on the winning blue team!
So proud of everyone and all their hard work.
I'm with Dianne, staying inside sounds like the best idea. I froze just going from the car to the store. BRR. Suzanne you are brave :)
